Marsa Al Arab Façade

Marsa Al Arab consists of a hotel with serviced apartments alongside F&B, retail and podium entrance areas. The site is located next to the Burj Al Arab and the Jumeirah Beach Hotel. 

Joule Group was engaged on the project for multiple construction stage fire life safety advisory services. The two main services provided were façade material compliance reviews and the completion of a fire safety strategy for the progressive occupation of completed areas.

Project Delivery

Joule Group undertook a fire risk assessment of the façade materials to assess their properties and compliance with the UAE Fire Code. Joule Group advised on the relevant development solutions for the façade compliance and acceptance undertaken by the local authorities. 

The project was successfully delivered and accepted by the local authorities, with the fire risk assessment study  effectively demonstrating that the façade fire risk is limited. Further mitigating measures were also included in the project.

Joule Group also advised on a partial phased occupation strategy as the building transitioned from construction to occupation.
