September 2025 Intake

We currently have vacancies for our September 2025 intake across three of our UK locations:

  • London
  • Manchester
  • Belfast

As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on the design and construction of a wide variety of building projects, both new and existing, and major infrastructure projects. You will have the opportunity to work with our vastly experienced teams on high profile clients on a wide variety of projects and industry sectors.

Recent project examples include:

  • Global Data Centres for international technology companies
  • Facades projects for numerous UK developers
  • Major Retail Complexes in the Middle East
  • World Cup stadia in Qatar
  • Major Rail project in the Middle East
  • Major Aviation Projects across the UK

Career Development

You will receive training from experienced senior engineers and will be fully supported through all stages of your career development, our aim is to make you the very best you can be.

You will have the opportunity to carry out fire engineering assessments to help design safe buildings. This may include Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for smoke flow modelling, external fire spread assessments, evacuation modelling and structural fire engineering calculations.

As your career develops, you will be given the opportunity to expand your skills and experience to provide advice to architects and design teams to help them develop the designs of the future. This may include presenting designs to approving authorities such as Building Control. As such you will need to be comfortable discussing and presenting technical topics to a wide variety of audiences.

 

Tailored Support

Our mentoring program, along with our huge scope of projects, will challenge and inspire you to make a real difference in the built environment and help create a safer and sustainable world for future generations.

We encourage all our engineers to achieve Chartered or Incorporated status. We will provide help with the application process including report guidance and practice interviews, as well as subsidising professional association memberships. We employ a significant number of Chartered Engineers including those who volunteer to assess applications for various engineering institutions.

Requirements

  • Masters (MEng, MSc or equivalent) Degree preferred. Strong candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree will also be considered.
  • Suitable degree subjects include Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics or similar.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is a necessity.

As this is a graduate role, prior knowledge of fire engineering is not a requirement as training will be provided.
