European Data Centers

A highly demanding and unique project adopting an existing data center design from the US and adapting it for use in Europe. The goal was to amend the design for wide-scale compliance with fire life safety requirements for multiple European countries. The project included information gathering, in-detail country code reviews, international collaboration, analysis, campus planning, shell and core design information package, and final fit-out package.

Project Delivery

Joule Group provided services from the outset to the multidisciplinary client-led team. Selected European country codes were canvassed for key requirements using multiple suppliers providing feedback and information. Joule Group provided key information for the design adoption to develop European design which can be launched in the selected multiple European countries with minimum amendments. The project design went through multiple stages of reviews, approvals, and packaging to enable broad application. The project has been successfully delivered with sites coming online in the coming years and further design development for future proofing for hyperscale, AI and ML capabilities.​
