Al Jimi Mall Redevelopment

Al Jimi Mall was built in 1988 and has undergone several refurbishments and expansions in 2002, 2006 and again in 2016. The mall has a building footprint of approximately 56,500sqm, GLA of approximately 77,000sqm, and over 2,000 parking bays.

Further redevelopment in the mall was required, forming this project. The project included the construction of a new multi-storey car park and several expansions to retail space.

Project Delivery

Joule Group was selected to deliver fire life safety services for this significant project, which presented a distinct set of challenges combining the existing estate with the new building project. Joule Group’s services encompassed various crucial aspects, including site surveys, code compliance consultancy, performance-based engineering, computational fluid dynamics modelling, and Civil Defence liaison.
